Larry Rogers is the founder and principal of
ADRWorks, LLC, a
firm offering mediation, arbitration, training, design, consulting and dispute
review boards services.
In addition to his private mediation, arbitration and
training practice in the areas of employment, construction, commercial, and
health care matters, he was a member of the National Panel of Arbitrators with
the American Arbitration Association. Mr. Rogers has mediated and arbitrated
more than one thousand disputes in Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Canada as
well as international disputes involving companies from Japan, China and
Singapore. He also provides group
facilitation
and partnering workshops specially designed for organizational conflicts
including construction partnering, management retreats, management and
departmental team-building and assisting poorly functioning groups. He also
provides custom designed systems tailored to the particular concerns of
businesses including design and implementation of internal integrated conflict
management systems to provide cost-effective conflict management in the
workplace. He also offers specialized training on employment issues including
Employment Updates, Hiring and Termination, Anti-Harassment, Conflict Management
in the Workplace, Communications and Conflict Resolution Skills for Managers and
Supervisors, Mediation and Arbitration.
He also developed HR On-callSM—a private referral
and consulting service for clients with questions about various aspects of
employment and human resources issues.
Mr. Rogers authored the Dispute Review Board Workshops, the
first training programs offered anywhere covering the use of Dispute Review
Boards in the construction process. He has made presentations and done training
in negotiation, mediation, conflict management, dispute review boards and
employment issues throughout the United States as well as Australia and the
Middle East, and for the Seattle University College of Law, University of
Washington College of Law, South Puget Sound Community College, the Evergreen
State College and for the Wyoming Bar Association, American Arbitration
Association, Pierce, Thurston and Snohomish County Dispute Resolution Centers,
United States Department of Energy, Bonneville Power Administration, the Oregon
Attorney General’s Office and numerous private companies. He has also served as
adjunct professor at Central Washington University and at Pierce College in
Tacoma, Washington, and Judge Pro Tem for the District Court of Thurston
County, Washington.
He is a founding member and past president of the Board of
Directors of the Dispute Resolution Center of Thurston County, Washington, and a
past member of the Boards of Directors of the Northwest chapter of the Society
of Professionals in Dispute Resolution (SPIDR) and the Mediation Consortium of
Washington State (now the Washington Mediation Association).
Mr. Rogers is a
graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Law joining the Wyoming Bar in
1973 and the Washington Bar in 1983. In addition to private law
practice, he has served as an administrative law judge,
Assistant Chief Counsel and Administrative Secretary to the Wyoming Public
Service Commission, Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington and
Special Assistant Attorney General for the
Commonwealth of the Northern Marina Islands. |
